Storied is the 2023 BGSUGD Portfolio Review Day branding. The word “storied” can best be defined as having a bountiful career while also having a portfolio that allows those stories to be shared. I was tasked with creating the branding for both the Portfolio Workshop and Review Day with this word as the start. From there, I designed the brand identity, including the logo, colors, typography, and patterns, and incorporated these into various materials needed for both events. The brandmark typeface, Palmier, illustrates the ways in which stories themselves can share, and how they often lack a completely linear format. The typeface utilizes different forms with curls and loops to further accentuate this idea in the brand.

The pattern, which incorporates pencils, pens, cursors, microphones, computer arrows, and paragraph symbols represents the different ways stories can be communicated. These also follow the curvature seen in the primary typeface and are displayed with muted primary colors. These elements were incorporated into posters, nametags, table numbers, and digital screens for the events.
